I’m not totally convinced this sunshade keeps my car cooler. My best friend also has a Tesla, and her interior temps without a sunshade are about the same as mine with this installed.That said, it does make a noticeable difference while driving, especially here in Florida—it keeps the sun from beating down on your head, which makes the ride more comfortable.The first time I set it up alone, it took about 15 minutes, but the second time was much quicker, at around five minutes. I also like that I can easily remove it if I want to enjoy the glass roof again.If you live in a sunny state and spend a lot of time on the road in your Tesla, I’d say this is worth getting, especially for the price.

This sunshade helps a great deal to keep the heat out of the car.

2025 Upgrade Tesla Model Y Sunshade Roof :This 2025 Upgrade Tesla Model Y sunshade roof is nice. It isa great fit and easy to install. Lacks directions, but easy to figure out where to place clamps/shade holders.I surely recommend it.

I bought two of these for my two Model Ys, it looks pretty and does effectively blocks the hot sun during summer. However, while taking it off, the rear part is very difficult to fold, first it cut my finger and I got blood dripping on it, then the frame just snapped and I can tell it is broken.My advise, if you manage to install it, just leave it one don't take it off. I'm leaving the other one on.

Fit is pretty good and the clips are holding after several hundred miles.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:I wish this was easy to install so I can use it like a windshield shade.  But it’s mainly a fixed item in your car due to the clip system. Does help lower the heat in cabin and is worth the investment if you sit in your car often waiting in the California sun. Is it a must have?  No, not really but does work to help lower the temp but I much prefer the glass roof personally.

Helps to cut down heat from the sun in Mid-Atlantic states this summer. Installation is not difficult but you must take your time installing the clips. Took me about 15 minutes. the shade itself is double sided and stays taunt in place very well. Overall, I'm pleased with this and would recommend it.

I’ve been on a bit of a Tesla accessories binge lately and have tested a variety of products along the way. These sunshades are perhaps my favorite so far. Assembly isn’t too difficult, and it’s the kind of process you get the hang of quickly. You simply connect the two shades with clips, attach additional clips around the perimeter, and wedge them into the existing gaps in the car.The custom fit is excellent and very satisfying—it clips in securely and sits taut and wrinkle-free, just like in the listing photos. What really sets this sunshade apart is the color. It matches the interior perfectly, blending in much better than a plain black or white option. I would definitely recommend this sunshade to others.

This one looks better out of the box than the other Tesla panoramic headliners I’ve tried — the fabric is smoother and less prone to wrinkling, which gives it a more polished finish once installed. It also fit similarly in terms of coverage: decent overall, but still not a fully flush seal around the edges. That seems to be a common issue across all these designs. Color is close but not perfect match.This version claims a magnetic center seam to help with fit, which mostly works well. For the majority of the length, the magnets hold the center closed nicely — but in one section, the magnets just don’t connect at all, leaving a visible gap. It’s not a dealbreaker, but it undermines the “premium” feature and kind of makes you wish they’d just doubled down on quality control.Still usable and will keep your pre-Juniper Model Y markedly cooler, but not quite the flawless finish the product listing might imply.Good not great but does what it’s intended to (block the sun)

It works great as intended as a sun roof shade for the Tesla Y, but as others have commented, it's not convenient to take the shade down and reinstall. If it's the sunny/hot season - just leave it up. You do sacrifice the panoramic view in the evening and you do lose some head room, but the main objective is to keep your cabin parts from melting or wearing down prematurely. I'd say 4 stars.

Works great! Keeps the cabin of my model Y much cooler while it sits in the parking lot, also reduces my AC usage saving me mileage.

Summers are almost here, which means extra battery consumption for maintaining the temperature in the car. Glass top looks amazing but when it comes to heat, that is the worst part as it increases inside the temperature multifold. I was looking for a solution for my Tesla Y and found this.There are two panels and this is extremely easy to install. Comes with a little confusing instructions and some effort is required to understand the instructions. As the instructions are not straight forward, once I was clear with instructions, I was able to install the panels (front and rear) in less than 20 mins.My advise is to not install the brackets in the car and then install the panels, instead install the brackets on the panels and then slide the brackets into the car. This makes is very easy to install. Panels stick very nicely to each other and doesn't leave any gaps.Coming onto the reflective surface of the panel that face the sun. The top is reflective finish that doesn't let the heat come inside the car and I have seen a significant improvement in the inside temperature of the car after installing these panels. I don't have to park my car inside my garage anymore during the day time and I can sit in the car right away without adjusting the temperature of the car before hand.I haven't tried removing and folding it back in its carry case but i will keep the instructions safe so that when I have to remove these and store safe, I know how to fold these panel and store them back in the carrying case.

I have tried a few different roof shades for my Model Y and so far this one is my favorite. The magnetic element helps keep it up and makes it easier to set up. It helps keep the car cooler in the summer.

Pretty good fit, I like that it comes in two pieces and you can choose which side you want to have covered, or both. There is a tiiiiiny bit of sagging/rippling but nothing too bad.

I found it a bit cumbersome to install and the instruction sheet could probably use a bit more detail on how it needs to fit together, but once you figure it out, it does seem to work and stay up there. The instruction sheet seems to imply that you can remove it and with a twist make it into a smaller circle for storage, but quite frankly, I don't think you are going to ever want to take it down after you finally manage to get it installed. When (not "if") the clips slip out of your hand, they will go down into that little area between the center console and the front seats and you're going to need to find someone with really small hands that can fit in that small space.

I wanted shades for the glass roof that would lessen the sun from shining in with out ruining the purpose of the all glass ceiling of the MY25!!! Excellent fit and very easy to install and remove! Appears to be high quality fabric, excellent to block the UVs

I live in the desert and with the Tesla windows, it’s basically sitting underneath a giant magnifying glass when it’s summer. This is so good at blocking sun that my car is darker inside (I also have tinted windows). It was easy to install and I put it up within less than 10 minutes. It’s secure once you clip it all in properly and doesn’t sag.

This shade fits well in my model Y. It took me about 10 minutes to install, which for the most part was easy. The corner above my passenger side front seat did not fit properly. The shade stays up very well and is great at reducing light in the cabin. The only one who didn’t like it was the toddler who loves to look out the roof. Not good for frequent changes, as when you take it down all the clips pop out, but if you want to set it up and leave it, it’s great for that.

The sunshade fits perfectly with my 2024 Tesla Model Y. My friend even thought it came with the car when I bought it! It blocks the sun very well, and during the summer, I think this shade is a must-have for any Tesla owner—it makes a big difference in keeping the car cooler. It doesn’t feel cheap at all, and I’m very happy with this order.
